OBJECTIVE

HLR completed Phase I ESA reports as required by Campbell Energy, in coordination with the ALTA survey, for the potential lease or purchase of properties.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. (HLR) completed Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) for 17 parcels or groupings of parcels located in southern Illinois. The assessments were conducted in accordance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Standard E1527-13 for Environmental Site Assessments, complying with 40 CFR Part 312, Standards and Practices for All Appropriate Inquiries. 


The assessments included the following components:

  • Generation and evaluation of property history
  • Review of existing environmental documentation
  • Evaluation of the physical setting
  • Government records review
  • Interviews with owners and occupants (if possible)
  • On-site investigation of the property and improvements
  • Report generation

The investigated areas included properties ranging from 115 acres to 700 acres in size. Additionally, HLR completed Phase I ESA updates and combinations of reports as requested by the client.
