EN Engineering and North Shore Gas

OBJECTIVE

EN Engineering and North Shore Gas required a wetland delineation and report along St. Mary’s Road and Everett Road before the growing season ended and construction could begin.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Our environmental team conducted 42 wetland delineations along approximately six miles of roadway as well as a tree survey and threatened and endangered species survey. We obtained all necessary permits including the Watershed Development Permit through the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit through the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.

Coordination with all involved municipalities, Lake County Forest Preserve District, and the Illinois Nature Preserve Commission was critical to this project’s success. We also provided environmental inspection throughout construction to ensure protection of sensitive areas and proper soil erosion and sediment controls.
