Annual Maintenance Program

City of Woodstock

OBJECTIVE

Over a 35-plus-year relationship with the City of Woodstock, HLR has provided civil engineering services for a variety of design and construction projects, including roadway, drainage improvements, parking lot and CBD improvements, recreational and athletic facilities, lighting improvements, traffic studies, and maintenance programs.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Often, these projects have accelerated schedules and limited budgets. Maintaining such a long-term relationship is one indication that our engineering services meet or exceed the City’s expectations.

For the last four years, HLR has worked with City staff on its Annual Maintenance Program to target streets in need of repair to ensure limited funding can be used appropriately. Proposed improvements have included reconstruction, resurfacing, cold-in-place reclamation, patching, crack sealing, curb and sidewalk repairs, and upgrading sidewalk ramps to meet current ADA/PROWAG requirements. HLR also helps with the City’s budgeting for MFT fund spending by analyzing snow removal equipment rental, ice control material, and traffic signal maintenance.

As an on-call consultant to the City, we have enjoyed the opportunity to provide impromptu advice, guidance and assistance to City staff – they know they can access our wide range of expertise with a simple phone call.
